See the process ›Our malting barley is primarily from our own fields to ensure that we brew on only the purest ingredients. Only an uncompromising access to quality ensures clean, tasty products.
Having made sure that the protein content of the barley is within the right parameters and the barley has rested sufficiently after harvest, we ship it to Fuglsang Malting Company in Denmark. Here the barley will be gently turned into malt and sent back to us. - It all begins with mother earth.

To make sure that we have a consistent high beer quality, we treat our own water using reverse osmosis, so the mineral content and hardness of the water it tailored to the specific type of beer we make. Our water is being drawn from the Danish underground and directly into the brewery without adding chlorine or any other chemicals.
Making the best malting barley in Denmark is nothing new to the farmers on our island of Lolland. We have just the right climate to ensure that we get the perfect protein content and grain size. Harvesting our barley with GPS controlled accuracy and the most modern machinery gives us the assurance that our most important raw material is the absolute best quality we can get on the market.
Our hops are sourced from all over the globe. United States, United Kingdom and Europe. Only the absolute best hops make it into our beer and we do not compromise on quality here either.
The yeast is needed to convert the natural sugar into alcohol and carbon dioxide. At Krenkerup we brew with different types of yeast. The yeast has a special influence on the aroma of the beer, but also on both the taste and the clarity of the glass.

Only when it is completely ready a Krenkerup beer will be bottled! In the week leading up to bottling, our brewmaster tastes daily, and only when the taste, color and quality are at the highest level, we tap the beer on kegs and bottles. All beer is bottled at Krenkerup Estate.
To truly appreciate a Krenkerup beer, you need time to let all your senses experience the entire beer. Not only taste, but also smell and color are very important to us. Sit back and enjoy responsibly.
